Earlier this year, the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority
(MHADA) Regional Unit, Mumbai Housing and Area Development Board (MHADB) had
announced the sale of thousands of houses in Mumbai from lottery sales.Despite
many objections, the rates offered for the MHADA flat were not really low
budget, the lottery attracted a lot of potential buyers. According to the media
report, 1.2 lakh people applied for MHADA's homes. Unfortunately, more than two
thousand applications have been rejected for not being incomplete or required
to meet the eligibility criteria.

The lottery will be organized online through live webcasts, so applicants
are not required to go to the place. Webcast applicants will be able to see how
the lottery is organized and to see the results declared. A committee of
dignitaries has been specially appointed to oversee the lottery process.Learn
